Emerald

Emerald, or Panna Stone, is the rich green colour stone. It is a variety of beryl, valued for its mesmerizing colour. Its shades range from soft green to deep, velvety forest green. Unlike sapphires and rubies, emeralds almost always contain natural inclusions, called “jardin,” which are considered part of their identity. Colombian and Zambian emeralds are highly prized worldwide. In Vedic astrology, Emerald is ruled by Mercury (Budh), the planet of intelligence and communication.
